María Chica is a member of Garrigues’ Labor and Employment Law Department, where she specializes in labor and employment and social security law. Among other areas, she handles both recurring and strategic advice on labor law and social security matters, legal defense in judicial and administrative proceedings, as well as the preparation of due diligence reports and participation in collective bargaining procedures. She also provides advice on international mobility matters and new technologies as well as negotiation in equality plans.
She holds a Law Degree and a Master’s Degree in Labor and Employment and Social Security Law from the Law School of ESADE. She is a lecturer in the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession in the Law School at ESADE.
Experience
María Chica has been a member of the firm since 2021. In her professional practice, she has extensive experience in providing recurring advice to companies in the chemical, textile and metal industries, among others; legal defense in judicial proceedings relating to dismissals, material modifications to working conditions, unlawful loaning of workers, among others; preparation of due diligence reports in share and/or asset sale and purchase transactions and investments.
She is fluent in Spanish, English and Catalan.
