Margarida Laires has been a Senior Associate in the Labour Department at Garrigues since 2026, having joined the same Department in 2021, where she worked first as a Junior Associate and subsequently as an Associate.

Before joining Garrigues, she began her professional career at Macedo Vitorino, where she worked between 2018 and 2021.

She has solid experience advising national and multinational companies on Labour Law matters, namely in hiring and termination procedures, labour due diligence, administrative offence proceedings, as well as Social Security matters.

She also has experience in labour litigation.

She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

• Law Degree, University of Lisbon.
• Master’s Degree in Litigation, specialising in civil law and civil procedure, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2021.
