Luna Valdebenito Hormazábal is an associate in the Labor and Employment area of Garrigues’ Santiago de Chile office. Her practice focuses on day-to-day corporate labor law advice, strategic consulting, immigration law and highly complex litigation for domestic and multinational clients. She specializes in designing and conducting complex internal investigations, labor audits and due diligence processes in the context of corporate transactions, and also in structuring litigation strategies before the labor courts. In the area of immigration, she has experience in providing comprehensive advice to companies on the hiring of foreign workers, including processing visas and work permits before the relevant authorities. She actively participates in the development and corporate implementation of prevention policies and institutional protocols under the Karin Law. She is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English.
Experience
Luna has experience in highly complex labor law litigation, designing legal strategies in lawsuits before the labor courts and liaising with the administrative authorities.
She provides advice on corporate immigration law, focusing on the international mobility of executives and employees, as well as on processing visas, work permits and regulatory compliance before the National Migration Service.
Her advice covers day-to-day counseling on corporate labor law matters, as well as audit and due diligence processes in the context of merger and acquisition transactions.
She has experience in conducting corporate internal investigations and in the design and implementation of prevention policies, regulatory compliance frameworks and protocols under the Karin Law.
Before joining Garrigues, Luna was an associate at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil (2024–2026).
She previously worked as an associate (2022–2024) and paralegal (2020–2021) in the Labor and Pensions area of CMS Carey y Allende. She started her professional career as a paralegal in the area of Consumer Law at Carey & Cía (2018).
