Luis Miguel Pablos is a Senior Associate in the Tax and Accounting Department of Garrigues (Gran Canaria office), where he has been working since 2013, providing recurring advice to companies and tax groups, as well as to individuals, whether residents or non-residents, in the areas of direct and indirect taxation.
He also has extensive experience in advising on the Family Business Regime, as well as the Canary Islands Tax Regime. Among other fields, he also advises on business and asset restructuring operations, through the design of optimal ownership structures from the tax and asset perspective of the partner and the companies, reorganisations of family groups, as well as succession processes in family businesses.
Graduate in Law and Business Administration and Management, he also holds an LL.M. in International Transactions from Centro de Estudios Garrigues, as well as a Master's degree in Business Taxation.
He has collaborated in different courses, master's degrees, conferences and seminars.
He is a member of the Las Palmas Bar Association (ICALPA).
Experience
Luis Miguel Pablos has been a Senior Associate in the Tax Department since 2021, having joined the firm in 2013.
- He has extensive experience in advising on compliance with the Family Business Regime, the application of incentives of the Economic and Tax Regime of the Canary Islands, as well as in recurring tax advice at corporate and personal level.
- He provides advice and participates in corporate restructuring and reorganisation operations (M&A) from a tax perspective, due diligence processes, tax consolidation and inheritance processes.
- He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Academic background
- LL.M. in International Transactions at "Centro de Estudios Garrigues" in association with Universidad Antonio Nebrija and Fordham University
- Master in Business Taxation at the "Escuela de Comercio Exterior" (Escoex)
- Degree in Law and Business Administration from the European University of Madrid.
Teaching activity
He teaches accounting in the Master of Business Taxation, as well as Corporate Tax in the Law and Business Administration degree at the University of the "Atlántico Medio" (UNIDAM).
