Julen Fonseca Gatzagaetxebarria has been a senior associate in Garrigues' Labor Law practice since 2022, having joined the firm in 2011.

In his professional activity, he provides recurring advice to companies in various industries, both domestic and international, on labor relations, both individual and collective, and social security. In this regard, he has extensive experience in advising on hiring, individual and collective dismissals, disciplinary procedures, contract suspensions and modifications of working conditions, senior management, expatriation and social security.

Participates in the negotiation of several collective bargaining agreements at company and lower level, as well as in the elaboration of equality plans.

Has headed labor due diligences in the framework of corporate operations.

He has extensive experience in the procedural field before the social and contentious-administrative jurisdictions, in various matters related to labor and social security law.

Julen Fonseca Gatzagaetxebarria is fluent in Spanish, Basque and English.
