Javier Marina is a senior associate in the Labor and Employment Department of Garrigues, where he has been working since 2020. He has extensive experience in management and legal representation of a multitude of legal proceedings and specialises in the areas of social security, occupational risk prevention and collective bargaining. He is usually in charge of advice in these areas in the area of Asturias and Castilla y León.

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Valladolid and a double master's degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the Carlos III University of Madrid, and International Law from ISDE Law & Business School.

He is a regular contributor to the Garrigues Blog. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Experience

Javier Marina is a senior associate in the Labor Law practice.

He has extensive experience in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings throughout the national territory, related to labour, Social Security and Occupational Risk Prevention issues. In particular, Javier Marina has intervened in numerous procedures, both in the administrative and judicial phases, related to accidents at work, being a speaker in Castilla y León at various conferences in relation to the legislative developments that occur annually in his area of practice.

On the other hand, in the field of labour relations, he advises on a recurring basis in all types of collective proceedings such as substantial modifications of working conditions, suspensions or terminations of individual and collective labour relations.

He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Javier Marina is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

  • Graduated in Law from the University of Valladolid: 2010 to 2015.
  • Double Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, from the Carlos III University of Madrid, and International Law, from the ISDE Law & Business School: 2015 to 2016.
