Ignacia Yanes is a lawyer in the Labor and Employment area of Garrigues’ Santiago de Chile office. Her practice focuses on providing advice to domestic and international companies on legal matters relating to labor relations and social security and she also handles proceedings before the labor courts and administrative proceedings before the Directorate-General of Labor. She previously worked at an international law firm in the labor and employment and immigration law area.
Experience
She has experience in advising Chilean and international clients on labor and social security matters, including processes for the hiring and termination of employees, lawsuits, administrative proceedings, internal investigations, the preparation and implementation of corporate policies and also in providing advice on the labor law aspects of M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Garrigues, Ignacia was a lawyer in the labor and employment area of Barros Silva Varela & Vigil (2025–2026). Previously she had worked as an associate in the Labor and Employment Law and Corporate Immigration group of Carey y Cía. (2024–2025) and as a paralegal in the Life Sciences group of the same firm (2022). She started her career as a corporate paralegal at EDN Abogados (2021) and as a trainee at Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos (2020).
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
