Fernando Florit is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice: Litigation and Arbitration, Criminal Law. He has experience in the defence of economic crimes, corporate crimes, crimes against workers' rights, environmental and land use planning, crimes against the Treasury, against the Public Administration and against honour, as well as other cases related to the business world. He has also developed his practice in advising on the implementation of regulatory compliance programmes and crime prevention plans (‘compliance’).
Experience
Fernando Florit is an associate in the Litigation and Arbitration, Criminal Law practice at Garrigues, which he joined in May 2019.
In his professional activity he has participated in criminal proceedings of different kinds, such as:
- Litigation arising from accidents at work of all kinds.
- Litigation related to all types of economic crimes (fraud, misappropriation, misappropriation of assets, etc.), as well as those arising from cybercrime.
- Litigation related to corporate disputes, with special emphasis on those arising from family businesses.
- Cases involving offences against the environment, with particular emphasis on the management of waste and emissions of all kinds, and against town and country planning.
- Litigation related to the defence of honour, freedom of expression, information and press, and the right to privacy and self-image.
Academic background
Graduate in Law from the University of Murcia (2007/2012) and candidate to the Judiciary and Public Prosecutor's Office.
Teaching activity
He has collaborated as an external tutor in practicum training at the University of Murcia.
