Eugenia Montaña González is Counsel of the Tax Department of Garrigues at the Madrid office. She developed part of her professional career at Garrigues from 2007 to 2012 and rejoined the firm as Counsel in 2024.

Prior to her return to Garrigues, she was a member of the Tax Litigation department of EY Abogados (2012-2023) and Zaldua Etxebarria Abogados (2023-2024).

She specializes in Tax Law, specifically in the area of tax procedure and litigation.

Within the Tax Litigation group at Garrigues, she acts as appellant before the different Spanish courts (Supreme Court, National Appellate Court, etc.) in cases against the Spanish tax authorities, and has also participated in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Constitutional Court.

She also has broad expertise in advising on tax inspection and verification procedures for entertainers and sportspersons, as well as record companies, music producers and promoters, football clubs, companies from a range of sectors in their sponsorship activities, and family businesses.
