Estefanía Iceta joined the firm in 2000, and since then she has developed her entire career at Garrigues in the real estate department.
She is highly specialized in the Real Estate practice, which not only includes asset deal transactions (e.g. sale & purchase, construction and leasing, and the financial aspects inherent to them), but also share deal transactions with underlying real estate. Ms. Iceta has advised local and international clients in the acquisition of office buildings, shopping malls and logistic parks/centers, sale & leaseback transactions and in the granting of mortgage-financing facilities, syndicated loans and all type of refinancing transactions all across Spain.
She also has extensive knowledge in the field of mortgage law, in which field she has actively collaborated with a number of Spanish Associations of Land Registrars, with the view to coordinate and achieve homogenous land registry criteria.
During the last years, she has been actively collaborating and working with some of the major Spanish banks and savings-banks in connection with the adjudication, divestment and disposal of real estate assets through the use of different formulas (e.g. disposal of portfolio of assets, NPLs, swap/exchange, construction and management agreements, etc).
She has been admitted to practice by (and is a member of) the Madrid Bar Association.
Degree in Law and Business Counsel from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-1).
