Belén Chinchilla Fidalgo is a senior associate in the Real Estate Department of Garrigues, having joined the firm in June 2018.
She provides comprehensive legal advice on corporate and commercial real estate matters to domestic and international investment funds, real estate companies, developers, construction companies, as well as private clients, in all types of real estate transactions, participating in the main operations in the Spanish market.
Experience
Belén joined the firm in 2018 and is currently a senior associate in the Real Estate Department, providing comprehensive legal advice on real estate matters in all types of real estate transactions in the Spanish market to a broad portfolio of clients, including domestic and international investors, investment funds, developers, real estate companies and financial institutions. Her experience covers a wide range of legal matters, and, in particular:
- Advice on complex real estate transactions, including sales and purchases of all types of properties (office buildings, logistics centers, hotels, commercial premises, plots, etc.) and real estate companies, forward funding and sale & leaseback transactions.
- Comprehensive advice in relation to the management and marketing of different types of real estate assets, such as office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, residential assets and logistics facilities.
- Lease of all types of assets (existing assets and on a turnkey basis).
- Development and construction of properties, assisting in the drafting and negotiation of delegated development agreements, works contracts, contracts for the provision of technical services and recurring advice during the course of the works until their final completion.
- In-depth performance and monitoring of due diligence processes (both in the context of the sale / acquisition of assets, and also in financing processes), identifying contingencies, proposing alternatives to resolve or mitigate the risks detected and facilitating an informed and safe decision-making process.
- Drafting, negotiation and analysis of real estate agreements, including sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, escrows, works contracts, marketing and asset management agreements.
Academic background
- Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management , Carlos III University in Madrid.
- Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, La Rioja UNIR University.
