Armando Buendía is an associate in the Tax Law Department of Garrigues.
He advises domestic and international clients on tax consulting matters related to their business operations, as well as on the development of tax planning strategies, international taxation, due diligence, tax disputes and proceedings before the Peruvian tax authorities. He holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and an LLM degree from The University of Chicago Law School.
He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Experience
Armando joined the firm in 2014 and is an associate of the Tax Law Department since 2022.
His professional activity focuses, among others, on providing tax advisory to domestic and foreign companies in the context of their business operations in Peru, as well as in:
- M&A operations and internal corporate restructuring.
- Bank financing transactions and issuance of debt instruments.
- Tax due diligence reports.
- Incorporation of companies in Peru.
- International taxation, regarding the application of double taxation treaties signed by Peru.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in various tax processes and proceedings before the Judiciary and local tax authorities, such as SUNAT and the Peruvian Tax Court.
