Anxo Vidal is a senior associate in the Garrigues Administrative and Constitutional Law Department at the Madrid office, where he has spent his entire professional career since he joined the firm in 2018.
He has extensive experience in administrative law, planning and zoning law and environmental law, with a special emphasis on both zoning (planning, management, enforcement) and real estate transactions and project implementation. He also specializes in judicial review and penalty proceedings relating to a number of industries.
Anxo provides advice on all aspects of administrative law, including, among others, trade and consumer protection, regulated sectors and artificial intelligence.
He is fluent in Spanish, English and Galician.
He has a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidade de A Coruña. Additionally, he has a Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Audiovisual, Data Protection and Information Society Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Transactions from Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
Experience
Anxo Vidal joined the firm in 2018 and has been a senior associate in the Administrative and Constitutional Law Department since 2025.
He provides legal advice to domestic and international clients on all areas of administrative, planning and zoning and environmental law, with a special emphasis on planning and zoning, in which he has taken part in the most notable transactions in the Spanish market. This includes both real estate transactions (participating in due diligence processes in sale and purchase, sale and lease-back, financing transactions, etc.) and the implementation of projects (residential buildings, subsidized housing, hotels, commercial outlets and service stations, logistics platforms, data processing centers, university centers, etc.).
Anxo also provides recurring advice to top domestic and international clients on urban land development, on both the planning and management phase and the zoning enforcement phase, and he actively participates in drafting planning and management instruments, preparing pleadings, and drawing up reports and legal opinions on the viability of projects, etc.
In addition, Anxo provides recurring administrative and environmental law advice to developers of renewable energy facilities on the processing of the administrative permits required to build and operate projects.
Anxo also has broad experience in providing legal assistance and legal representation in administrative and judicial review proceedings in all areas and sectors, including most notably his involvement in zoning and environmental matters, as well as in the energy and housing areas.
His experience encompasses the area of new technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as all areas of administrative law including, among others, court and administrative penalty proceedings, public aid and subsidies, industrial environmental matters, public property, etc.
Anxo is fluent in Spanish, English and Galician.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
