Experience
Alejandro joined Garrigues in 2019 and has more than 10 years' experience in the practice of law in the labor and social security area, having previously collaborated with other firms prior to 2019.
He has extensive experience in advising national and international clients on labour and social security matters, both in recurring matters and in highly complex projects, including litigation before all courts, technical and strategic assistance in matters such as termination of contracts, collective processes, hiring, senior management, working hours, salary, disciplinary regime,unlawful loaning of employees, substantial modification of working conditions, functional and geographical mobility, leaves of absence, transfers, protocols and company policies, etc. He also participates in company acquisitions, mergers, takeovers and successions, advising on the labour implications and carrying out labour due diligence.
He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English.

- Graduate in Law from the University of Barcelona (UB).
- Postgraduate degree in Legal Practice from the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), specialising in Labour Law and Commercial Law.
- Postgraduate degree in Compliance from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona (UPF).
- Various specialisation courses in Labour and Social Security Law (Barcelona Bar Association, Centro de Estudios Financieros, University of Barcelona).
Teaching activity
Lecturer on the Master's Degree in Labour Law at Centro de Estudios Financieros in Barcelona and the Universidad a distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) since 2023. He teaches the courses on "The effects of restructuring and business sucession from a labor law perspective" and "Corporate liability for labor and social security breaches".
