Spain’s leading companies present Garrigues with the ‘Client Trust Award’

Garrigues received the ‘Client Trust Award’ from the journal Iberian Lawyer at the Premios Oro España prize-giving ceremony held last night. This marks the first time the accolade has been given in Spain to clients’ preferred law firms and lawyers.
The awards are the result of the first Corporate Legal Practice Study conducted by Iberian Lawyer together with the in-house legal departments of major Spanish companies. The report examined internal management models and outsourcing trends with respect to legal services in Spain and gathered feedback from nearly 180 general secretaries and legal department heads at Spanish companies with a turnover exceeding €300 million, including those listed on the IBEX 35.
During the ceremony, which was held in Madrid last night, the awards presented by Iberian Lawyer at the first edition of the Premios Oro España were divided into three categories: ‘Client Trust’, ‘Added Value’ and ‘Personal Excellence’.
Fernando Vives, the firm’s managing partner picked up the award in the ‘Client Trust’ category, underlining how important it is for companies to have their say: “We are what we are thanks to our Clients. This is why this award means so much to me, because it’s granted directly by them.”
In addition to the award received, Abigail Blanco, partner at Garrigues’ Tax Department, was one of the five leading lawyers nominated in the “Personal Excellence” category, which recognizes professionals who have provided an excellent service to clients.
