Garrigues, 'Best Spanish Law Firm 2012'
The award was handed out at the ‘International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards’
Garrigues picked up the award for “Best Spanish Law Firm 2012” at the International Legal Alliance Awards ceremony held last night at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand. Garrigues has once again been honored for its excellence and leading international practice, following on from its first recognition in 2010.
Made up of General Counsel and Chief Financial Officers from Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, L’Oreal, Microsoft, Cap Gemini and Disney, the panel of judges recognized the leadership and leading role played by Garrigues over this past year in legal restructuring operations, including deals in the Spanish financial sector and transactions with a strong multijurisdictional component. Garrigues’ corporate strategy, together with its international outlook and outstanding client service, were also singled out for praise by the jury members.
In the words of Fernando Vives, Garrigues’ Managing Partner, “this accolade represents recognition of the international standing of our firm, since the International Legal Alliance rewards the leading law firms worldwide, on a country by country basis, from a global perspective”.
Every year in France, the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards event brings together 600 senior representatives from the top independent law firms, alongside General Counsel from more than 40 countries, seeking to develop a new international business network among the participants.
