Garrigues' 2006 billings hit €223.1 million

The Partners' Meeting, the Firm's ultimate governing body, approves the admission of 20 new partners

At the provisional 2006 year-end (September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006), Garrigues' revenues from professional fees had reached €223.1 million, according to the information submitted to the Partners' Meeting of the Firm in Madrid. This figure is almost €30 million up on 2005 billings (€193.6 million) or a 15.2% increase.

The Partners' Meeting also approved the admission of 20 new partners. The Firm's ultimate governing body now comprises 208 partners, including seven from the Portuguese practice. The new partners, their practice areas and their regional offices are as follows:

      Alicante: Miguel Ángel Castejón de la Encina (Tax) and Pablo de la Vega Cavero (Litigation)
Barcelona: Ignacio Corbera Dale (Corporate/Commercial) and Mario Soler Freixas (Human Capital Services)
       Bilbao: Manuel González Rodríguez (Maritime Law)
       Madrid: Silvestre Arana Knirsch (Corporate/Commercial); María Fernández-Picazo (Corporate/Commercial); Álvaro López-Jorrín (Corporate/Commercial); José Manuel Mateo Sierra (Labor and Employment Law); Adriano Gómez García-Bernal (Labor and Employment Law); Félix Plaza Romero (Tax); Eduardo Abad Valdenebro (Tax); Antonio Alonso Ureba (General Secretary of Affinitas) and Beatriz del Peso Gilsanz (Administrative Law)
