  • Tourist urban lightweight transportation system of the city of Cancún

    Location: State of Quintana Roo.

    Purpose: The project consists of the design, construction, equipment, administration, operation and maintenance of a 47 km mass transportation system in the city of Cancún and integrating it with its hotel zone, with the following characteristics:

    • Phase 1: 33 km elevated in the hotel zone (Boulevard Kukulkán) to the junction with the Cancun international airport.

    • Phase 2: 14 km at level in confined lanes in Av. Tulum and Av. Universidades.

    • 29 stations and 2 multimodal terminals.

    • Type of grant: Federal public-private partnership.

    Investment value: MXN $32,900,000,000, approximately USD $1,645,000,000.

    Term: 30 years.

    Organization: Government of the State of Quintana Roo.

    Current status: Pre investment.
