Fostering education and legal research is one of Garrigues’ core values. Through Centro de Estudios Garrigues, a teaching institution offering quality, up-to-the-minute training in the firm’s different professional practice areas, we help young professionals learn more about the law and assist them in embarking on their professional careers. Every year, Centro de Estudios Garrigues organizes the Young Lawyers Awards to recognize excellence in the knowledge and practice of business law.
Legal research is fueled by the Garrigues Collection, which includes informative works, and by the firm’s relationship with the academic world. With the Collection, the firm seeks to actively participate in the legal debate, to help rethink our institutions and to play a role in shaping new legal ideas. Garrigues also has two chairs in law, at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI-ICADE) and at Universidad de Zaragoza, to further knowledge in the field of law and to provide a forum for discussion and reflection.
