Sara Orriols Roberts is a senior associate in the tax practice, specializing in the real estate industry. She also belongs to the indirect taxation group.

She has extensive expertise in advising both domestic and foreign investors on the design of tax-efficient real estate investment structures. She has also participated in the acquisition of important mortgage loan portfolios and refinancing deals. SOCIMIs and other regulated vehicles are another area of her expertise.

She renders tax advisory services to the most important real estate companies in Cataluña as well as to real estate subsidiaries of financial institutions, both on recurring day-to-day tax matters and on restructuring deals. Her experience also includes providing a varied range of indirect tax advice on all types of real estate transactions (i.e. acquisitions, foreclosures, accord and satisfaction, exchanges, etc.).

In an academic role, she has lectured on international taxation at Escuela Superior de Comercio Internacional (ESCI) (2006-2007 and 2008-2009) and on tax matters at Centro de Estudios Financieros (Barcelona).

Sara Orriols is a member of the Barcelona Economists Association.
