Miguel Ángel began practicing labor law in 1993 in the legal affairs department of one of the most representative labor unions in Spain, specializing in advice on collective bargaining and labor litigation.
He joined Garrigues in 1997 and has worked in the Labor and Employment Law Department of the Barcelona office since then.

He has a wealth of experience in advising on special (senior management) contracts and terminations, as well as in preparing additional agreements typical of these contracts: post-contractual noncompete, exclusivity, target-based remuneration, stock options, golden parachute clauses, etc.
Extensive experience in processes for (i) business restructuring, including internal flexibility mechanisms, such modification of working conditions, geographical mobility, temporary layoffs, and external measures such as collective layoffs, voluntary redundancy and pre-retirement processes; (ii) corporate reorganizations (standardization of conditions and integration of groups); and (iii) decentralization of production (outsourcing).
He is a regular speaker at specialist employment law seminars, conferences and courses and has collaborated with various universities and training centers on teaching activities associated with his area of expertise.
