He has extensive experience in M&A deals (sale and purchase of companies and businesses, due diligence, mergers and corporate restructuring, shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures, etc.), as well as in corporate financing and refinancing transactions, both at national international level. Carlos has participated in complex corporate and financing transactions covering all types of sectors. Likewise, he provides corporate advisory services (he holds the position of secretary and vice-secretary of the board of directors of several companies) and commercial contracting (collaboration contracts, services, agency, distribution, lease, construction, supply, loan, confidentiality, etc.). He also has experience in the field of family business, the establishment of foreign groups in Spain and in compliance. Carlos has a degree in Law and Business Administration from the University of Navarra and a LLM from the Instituto de Empresa (IE). ### Carlos joined Garrigues as associate in 2013. Previously, he developed his professional career at Cuatrecasas (Corporate Department) and Clifford Chance (Banking and Finance Department), in both cases at their Madrid offices. He also did a secondment at the Barclays (Wealth and Investment Management and Corporate Banking Department) office in Madrid. He is a specialist in corporate and finance law, having been involved in many M&A and corporate financing transactions, including several of the most relevant completed in Gipuzkoa in recent years. In particular, in the corporate field, he has advised on the entry and exit in the capital of Spanish companies by national and foreign investors, on the sale of companies, businesses and assets, on shareholders’ agreements and joint-ventures, as well as on the establishment of foreign groups in Spain and in corporate restructuring of all kinds. At the financial level, he has advised on acquisition or general corporate financing transactions and on refinancing processes. Carlos provides comprehensive advice on commercial and corporate law to national and international clients of all kinds (industrials, venture capital, investment funds, family office, etc.).
