**Garrigues has been named Capital Markets Firm of the Year in Chile at the 13th Annual Americas awards held by International Financial Law Review (IFLR). The award ceremony, held in New York, recognized the advice provided by firms in the region that participated in the most innovative cross-border deals and demonstrated their knowledge and experience in strategic areas such M&A, banking and finance law, and restructuring.**
The IFLR panel applauded the work of Garrigues’ team in Santiago de Chile over the last year and of its capital markets team, led by partner Pedro García Morales. The publication carried out a detailed study, valuing the advice provided by Garrigues in complex international and high-volume transactions. The firm’s participation in the Celeo Redes capitalized bond issue was nominated for Deal of the Year as it has become a pioneering model and a benchmark for the Chilean and international capital markets.
IFLR also took into account Garrigues’ growth and regional presence in Latin America, with offices in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, in addition to Chile.
