# Garrigues once again tops the ranking of European law firms

With revenue of €414.2 million, Garrigues is the leading European law firm in terms of revenue and number of professionals, according to the European 100 report published by The Lawyer

**Garrigues leads the legal services market in the European Union, according to the annual European 100 report published by UK publication The Lawyer. The report analyzes the performance of the top-billing firms in Europe. Garrigues once again tops the table, with global revenue of €414.2 million and 7,1% growth. The firm also leads the ranking in terms of number of professionals.**
The list drawn up by The Lawyer takes into account the performance of the sector in the last year and highlights Garrigues’ leadership, a constant for many years now, and the milestone it has achieved in becoming the first European law firm to break the €400 million revenue barrier: “No other independent European firm has ever before reached that marker”, noted The Lawyer. As regards the firm’s activity and projects in 2021, the publication focused on Garrigues’ superb performance in M&A, the creation of Garrigues Sustainable and the firm’s commitment to ESG, as well as its investment in innovation and technology.
In general terms, the European 100 analysis underlined the growth observed in the European legal market, which had a bumper year in 2021. The combined revenue of the top 100 firms reached an all-time high of more than €12 billion, up 9.4% on the previous year. By country, the Spanish market did particularly well, outperforming the Netherlands to take third position in the table, behind Germany and France.
