# Garrigues, leading M&A firm in 2024 in Spain: tops the rankings by deal count and value in 2024

**The firm held onto its leading position in the M&A market, after notching up a total deal value of €30,856 million and a closed-deal count of 207, according to data on the TTR platform. Fernando Vives is also the top lawyer by deal value.**
Garrigues came first in the ranking measured by value with an advised deal figure totaling €**30,856 million**. And after achieving a closed deal count of **207**, the firm emerged again as the most active in the country, a position it has held since 2017.
Ranked individually, Fernando Vives emerged as the top lawyer by advised deal value, a figure totaling €17,289 million. Two other partners at the firm appear on this ranking: Álvaro López-Jorrín, in fourth place with €13,794 million, and Leticia Comin, in sixth with €12,770 million. By deal count, Laura Muñoz achieved an excellent ninth position with 16 advised deals.
The brisk activity in the Spanish M&A market is also shown in the general figures. According to data published by TTR, 3,473 deals were closed last year, up 8.33% on 2023. Those deals totaled €95,791 million, almost 11% higher than in 2023.
