Pedro García Morales, partner of Garrigues, singled out as Lawyer of the Year in Capital Markets.
The prestigious international directory The Legal 500 has recognized Garrigues as Law Firm of the Year in the category of Corporate M&A (mid-market), in the Chile Awards 2024 held a few days ago.
It has also singled out the partner Pedro García Morales as Lawyer of the Year in Capital Markets, and the principal associate José Joaquín Verdugo as Rising Star of the Year in the category of Dispute Resolution: Arbitration.
This was the second edition of the awards, which recognized the leading legal actors both in private practice and in the national sector in Chile.
These recognitions are added to other achievements attained by Garrigues Chile so far this year, which include most notably the award for the Best Firm in Chile granted by LatinFinance, and the award Latin American Water Deal of the Year, Desalination, in the IJ Global Awards, for the participation in the syndicated loan project for the construction of a seawater desalination plant owned by Codelco in Chile.
