Félix Plaza is a partner with the Garrigues tax law department, where he has developed his professional career. He specializes in tax law and is co-in charge of the sports and entertainment law department (Garrigues Sports & Entertainment), a field in which he has been highlighted by several international directories, such as Chambers & Partners. In recent years, he has been involved with the Centro de Estudios de Garrigues, an entity associated to the firm and promoted with the aim of developing training, studies and research, as co-director of the center’s Executive Immersion Program in Sports Management (SBA) and as a professor for the Executive Master’s Degree in International Taxation. He is degree in Law from the Centro Universitario San Pablo CEU and a Master’s Degree in Taxation and Tax Advice from Centro de Estudios Financieros. Taking over the Center at the end of the academic year, Félix Plaza acknowledged the work by his predecessor, Pablo Olábarri and, based on the consolidation of the Center, has set the target of “internationalizing it, by attracting more international students and to support scientific research work”. The aim of the Centro de Estudios Garrigues is to transfer the experience, knowledge and methods of a modern law firm to the training of professionals. Its association with the Garrigues law firm enables the Center to keep constantly in touch with professional business, due to the changing legal, economic and business situation and provide quality training with its own distinct features. The Center has a faculty of more than three hundred teachers from leading private entities, law firms, credit institutions and public authorities. Its prestige and the quality of its programs is acknowledged by major companies, financial entities and the most important rankings in the area of specialized post-graduate training.
