Verónica Saavedra Lobato has been a senior associate in Garrigues’ tax practice since October 2007.
She has extensive experience in the following areas: direct taxation (personal income tax and corporate income tax), indirect taxation (VAT, transfer and stamp tax), local taxes, transfer pricing, tax proceedings (in the administrative and judicial review stages) and assistance in inspection audits, analysis and review of cadastral valuations and proceedings with the Cadastre, as well as the interpretation of the current cadastral legislation.
She specializes in the taxation of the superyachts and the yachting industry. Having extensive experience regarding VAT: sales and purchases of yachts, yacht chartering, yachts importation (e.g. temporary admission procedure), vessel refits (e.g. inward processing procedure), recovery of VAT for non-established companies, etc. as well as regarding the registration tax (the so-called “matriculation tax”).
Having completed part of her studies at the University of Exeter in the UK, she maintains close ties with English-speaking clients.
Verónica Saavedra Lobato is a member of the Balearic Islands Bar Association.
