Sebastián Hassi is principal associate in the Administrative Department of Garrigues in the Santiago de Chile office, where he has been working since 2019. He specializes in the areas of administrative contracts, consumer law and personal data protection. He deals with both recurrent advice to clients and litigation related to his areas of practice. He holds a law degree from the University of Chile and a Higher Diploma in Consumer and User Law from the Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina. He is a contributor to El Mercurio Legal, speaker at various specialized forums and has published articles on consumer protection and personal data protection.
He has extensive experience in advising companies on public procurement, particularly in the construction of public works and the provision of new technologies for the state.
In addition, he advises national and foreign companies on specialized consumer law protection matters, providing advice on aspects such as contracting, advertising and claims, among others.
He also provides advice on aspects related to personal data protection, in areas such as web page usage policies, personal data processing policies and preparation of the corresponding legal documentation.
He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
