Ramón J. Gómez Coll is the partner in charge of the Zaragoza office and co-head of the Garrigues Family Business Group.

Since joining the firm, his practice has focused on the areas of tax law and family business.

In particular, he specializes in advising on succession planning, in defining suitable asset structures to achieve family and business goals, and in advising the governing bodies of family businesses.

He is also provides expert advice on transactions involving the sale and purchase of family businesses. As a result, he regularly participates in corporate sale transactions, advising the selling families. He also provides recurring advice to multinational groups that acquire family businesses as part of their inorganic growth policy.

He is a regular adviser to several Family Offices.

Ramón J. Gómez Coll is a Tax partner and belongs to the Family Business and M&amp;A specialist groups.

Adviser on succession planning to numerous family businesses: he assists in preparing family protocols and agreements, and advises family councils and family offices.

Involvement in numerous asset restructuring operations aimed at achieving the business and family goals of shareholders, analyzing their impact from a tax standpoint and, in particular, ensuring the requirements for application of the family business regime are met.

Planning and execution of sale processes involving family companies, advising on the transfer and subsequent ownership structure of the assets received by the sellers.

Transactions for acquisition of family companies by large companies or multinational groups. Ramón regularly advises listed groups on the acquisition of family businesses in Spain.

Business restructuring processes within multinational groups.

General tax advice to companies and groups.

He regularly participates in conferences relating to the specific problems faced by family businesses, M&amp;A transactions and tax developments.
