Eduardo Rodríguez is a counsel in the Tax practice area.
He joined the tax department of Garrigues Abogados y Asesores Tributarios in 2002 and has been developing his professional career there ever since.
Since becoming part of the firm, he has focused on the provision of recurring general tax advisory services (corporate income tax, VAT, IRPF, inheritance tax, etc.) participating actively in the preparation of reports, due diligence reviews and other special projects such as merger transactions, restructuring processes, etc.
He has also participated actively in the provision of advisory services regarding the application of special tax regimes to entities which are partially exempt, associations or foundations, and has at least four years' experience in the provision of recurring tax advisory services to the Free Zone.
He has specialized over the last years in the management of inspection proceedings and has acted as legal counsel in numerous administrative and judicial review proceedings deriving from tax inspections, particularly in relation to local taxes.
He has lectured on numerous courses and seminars on theoretical and practical tax matters, and has spoken at several conferences organized by different public entities, such as the Escuela de Negocios Novacaixagalicia (at present IESIDE) (Tax Proceedings), Confederación Provincial de Empresarios de Orense (Professional Associations), Garrigues (Refresher Seminar for Businesses).
He has collaborated in the provision of training on the Business Law Master's Degree course run by Universidad de Vigo, he also collaborates as a trainer with Fundación Tripartita.
Eduardo Rodriguez is a member of the Vigo Bar Association (ICA Vigo).
Degree in Law from Universidad de Vigo, majoring in economics and business studies.
Master's Degree in Tax Consulting from Centro de Estudios Financieros.
