Carlos Pinilla is the Partner in Charge of Garrigues Labor Department office in the Canary Islands, where he has developed his career since 2008 following the integration in Garrigues of the firm Llorens.
Previously, he was a partner and Director of Labor Law Office “Llorens & Díaz de Aguilar (2001-2008) and also worked as a lawyer in the area of Labor Law and Social Security in the office of “Abogados Asociados Viera y Clavijo 62, SL (1995-2001).
He has specialized in labor law, especially in the retail and hospitality sectors, construction, automotive and banking.
He has extensive experience in advising Spanish companies on the drafting and termination of employment contracts, particularly those of senior executives, as well as on transactional labour law issues (mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings) and outsourcing. He is frequently asked to advise on the adjustment of employment levels labour force adjustment plans, collective bargaining agreements and dismissal procedures.
A substantial part of his practice involves advising clients on employment disputes, representing them in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings.
