Anamaría Rico is a senior associate at Competition Law practice at Garrigues. Her practice focuses on Competition Law and Consumer Protection, mainly in legal advice and resolution of disputes before the National Competition Authority (SIC).
Before joining GARRIGUES, she worked at Competition Law Firm in complex litigation matters. Anamaría has also worked at the department of anticompetitive practices at the National Competition Authority. She participated in important decisions to sanction hard cartels and in the application that was first given to the antitrust leniency regime.
Academic background:
Anamaría received a scholarship to study her Bachelor of Laws at Universidad del Rosario and graduated as a lawyer from this institution with a minor in commercial law. She has a postgraduate degree in commercial law from Universidad de Los Andes.
