Alberto Etchegaray is a counsel in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts and Securities Markets practices.
He has extensive experience in advising publicly traded and closely-held corporations on the structuring and operation of their corporate governance, and his practice not only includes implementing compliance programs but also assisting senior management teams in improving corporate practices. Having served as Superintendent for Securities and Insurance, he has in-depth knowledge of the regulatory and legislative frameworks governing both the securities markets and corporations in Chile.
He is the Chairman of BOARD Centro de Gobierno Corporativo of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School. He also lectures on Corporate Governance as part of the MBA programs offered by the university in both Chile and Peru.
Alberto Etchegaray is a Director of InBest, a not-for-profit corporation that seeks to promote the Chilean capital markets to institutional investors. He is also a member of the Capital Markets Advisory Council, which advises the Ministry of Finance, and a member of the Self-Regulatory Board of the Chilean Association of Mutual Funds.

He is a qualified lawyer, with a Degree in Legal and Social Sciences from Universidad Diego Portales. He also holds a Master of Public Policy from the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
