It is vital in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to have detailed knowledge of the legal issues faced by startups. With a view to providing quick and practical solutions to these challenges, the professionals from Garrigues Startups&Open Innovation have created a series of videos, called Startup Chats, offering information on key legal issues for entrepreneurs in a Q&A format.
Taking a novel, multidisciplinary approach, the videos tackle strategic topics, such as the best way to get a good shareholders’ agreement, protection of intangible assets, privacy, cybersecurity, and other tax, labor and technology-related issues, both in Spain and in the other countries in which Garrigues is present.
The first video in the series focuses on the drag-along clause, which regulates divestment from the company and shareholder exits. This clause has become a common feature of the shareholders’ agreements of startups.
