**With a total of 237 deals, Garrigues is the most active law firm in the Iberian market in 2022**





Garrigues closes 2022 in first position of the [TTR Data](https://www.ttrdata.com/es/) rankings of legal advisors by number of mergers and acquisitions (M&amp;A) deals in Spain and Portugal. In both countries, Garrigues sums a total of 237 deals amounting to 11,120 million euros. In Spain, the firm advised on 198 transactions amounting to 9.351 million euros, while the M&amp;A team in Portugal completed 39 deals for a total of 1,769 million euros, a number that also ranks the firm in second place in terms of value. In addition, several Garrigues lawyers hold leading positions in the individual categories of legal dealmakers and rising star dealmakers.

This leading position is possible thanks to the firm’s versatility in adapting to a wide range of clients and projects, which allows it to work with both large multinational companies as well as local companies throughout the whole Iberian market.
