# Garrigues hires Carolina Camacho as partner to head the labor practice in Colombia

Carolina Camacho, Garrigues’ new partner.
**The firm continues to bolster its Latin American offering with the addition of a new partner, Carolina Camacho, who will take charge of the labor law department in Bogotá.**
Carolina Camacho joins the Garrigues Bogotá office after heading two major labor law teams at some of the most prestigious Colombian firms. With this new hire, the Garrigues Bogotá office now boasts 10 partners and over 50 professionals. Carolina’s appointment as an equity partner will be submitted to the next Partners’ Meeting.
Garrigues’ new partner has more than two decades of experience leading advisory services for Colombian and international companies in the areas of labor, social security and immigration law. She is a respected labor and employment lawyer and is highly ranked by the most prestigious legal directories, such as Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. She provides expert advice on labor aspects deriving from liquidation processes, business restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, labor due diligence reviews, collective labor issues, immigration procedures and social security contributions, as well as advising companies on day-to-day labor matters and representing them in labor lawsuits.

In turn, Jaime Iglesias, the partner in charge of the Bogotá office, stated: “Carolina is a consummate professional.
