The Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) presented Garrigues with the 2024 loyalty award (*Premio Fidelidad 2024*) at the twenty-first edition of its Espiga de Oro awards “for its outstanding contribution and generous support to our institution, which will serve to improve the quality of life of families and people in extreme need.”

The award was collected by María Ángeles Pérez de Ayala, tax partner and chair of the Pro Bono Committee, and Lourdes Ramos, chief human resource officer, during the awards ceremony held at CaixaForum Madrid.

Garrigues has collaborated regularly with FESBAL since 2012 through various initiatives made possible by the firm’s people, such as the *Operación Kilo* food drive at Christmas time, in which the firm matches the amount of food donated by its employees.   
  
The firm also provides pro bono services to FESBAL in various practice areas, mainly relating to corporate/commercial, tax and administrative law.

The Espiga de Oro awards were set up in 2003 to recognize the businesses, entities and volunteers that provide the greatest support to food banks.
