Tomás Contreras is a member of the Litigation and Arbitration team at Garrigues Chile. His professional practice focuses on the resolution of complex disputes before domestic courts and arbitral tribunals, both nationally and internationally, with a particular emphasis on civil, commercial, antitrust, corporate, and shareholder matters. He has participated in disputes across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, real estate, financial services, and construction.

  


Tomás holds a Law degree from the University of Chile, graduating with highest honors, and is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Chile. He has also served as a teaching assistant in several law courses at the University of Chile.

His professional practice focuses on the resolution of complex disputes before domestic courts and arbitral tribunals, both nationally and internationally. He has participated in high-stakes litigation involving civil, commercial, and antitrust matters, as well as disputes across a variety of industries, including telecommunications, real estate, financial services, and construction. He also has experience in corporate and shareholder disputes, representing clients in shareholder conflicts, corporate governance controversies, and other business-related matters.

  


Prior to joining Garrigues in 2024, he worked as a paralegal at Urenda Rencoret Orrego and Dörr Abogados and completed an internship at Carey, where he was also part of the litigation team.
