Thomas Martin Dawes Vicuña is a principal associate in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts and Mergers and Acquisitions practice in the Santiago de Chile office. To date, he has concentrated his practice in commercial and corporate law, advising domestic and foreign companies from different sectors in the management of their businesses in corporate, commercial, civil, financial and real estate matters. He has recurrent participation and experience in corporate transactions and acquisitions, especially related to companies developing energy projects, and provides regulatory advice on compliance matters, focusing on the structuring and operation of corporate governance of companies. Thomas obtained his Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2012), an associate degree in "Negotiation and Commercial Contracts" from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2016) and a Master in Laws (LL.M.), from the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia.

Thomas Dawes has been a principal associate in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts and Mergers &amp; Acquisitions practice since 2021, having joined the firm in 2016.

Previously, he served as an associate at Carey y Cía., in the Intellectual Property and New Technologies department from 2013 to 2015, and as a Visiting Legal Consultant at MinterEllison, Sydney, Australia, for the Corporate M&amp;A department, in 2020.
