Sebastian Galdames is an associate in Garrigues' tax practice in the Santiago de Chile office.

His practice focuses mainly on advising Chilean and foreign clients on all kinds of tax matters, as well as on the implementation of corporate reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and defense in tax litigation.

He holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Sebastian joined Garrigues in 2022 and has concentrated his practice in tax and corporate law, providing tax advice to Chilean and foreign clients, as well as in the execution of corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and defense in tax litigation, in both the administrative (before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service) and judicial (before the Tax and Customs Courts, Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court) jurisdictions.

His native language is Spanish and is fluent in English.

Previously, he was a corporate law intern at Garrigues (2019) and Barros &amp; Errázuriz (2019).

Sebastian is an assistant professor of Tax Law I (Tax Code and VAT) and Tax Law II (Income Tax) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (since 2024), and has been a professor of the Tax Law course of the Legal Training Program for SMEs and Workers (2024), at the same University.
