Roberto Lewin is a partner in the Labor and Employment area of Garrigues’ Santiago de Chile office. His practice centers on providing comprehensive advice on individual and collective labor matters, with a strategic focus on bringing labor relations into line with business objectives. He has extensive experience in restructuring processes, collective bargaining, regulatory compliance, social security, corporate immigration, internal investigations, inclusion and diversity policies, harassment and discrimination prevention, and also in the design and implementation of protocols and training.

He holds advanced international academic credentials, with an LL.M. from Duke University, and has been singled out by Chambers and Partners as an expert in labor and employment law since 2017.

His practice centers on providing strategic and comprehensive advice on individual and collective labor matters. Roberto has advised Chilean and foreign businesses across a range of industries (manufacturing, finance, trade, logistics, technology) on restructuring, collective bargaining, regulatory compliance in connection with labor law, social security, corporate immigration, internal investigations, the design of inclusion and diversity protocols, harassment and discrimination prevention and specialized training.

Prior to joining Garrigues as a partner, Roberto was a partner at Barros Silva Varela &amp; Vigil (2019-2026). He previously worked as head of the labor and employment practice at Vergara, Fernández, Costa &amp; Claro (2016–2019), head of the labor and employment practice at Urenda Rencoret Orrego &amp; Dorr (2014–2016), senior associate at Morales &amp; Besa (2013–2014), international lawyer at Littler Mendelson, Washington DC (2012), senior associate at Philippi, Yrarrázaval, Pulido &amp; Brunner (2010–2013), and associate at Uribe Hübner &amp; Canales (2008–2010).
