Following a period of work experience in Brussels at a law firm specializing in labor and employment law (Taquet Bureau d’Advocats), she joined Garrigues in 1991 and has worked at the Barcelona Labor and Employment Law Department since then.
Misi has broad professional experience in all areas of labor, employment and social security law, as well as related litigation issues.
In particular, Misi has extensive expertise in:
- Arranging and terminating senior executive contracts and in drafting clauses specific to contracts of this type, particularly in the financial sector and other regulated industries.
- Business restructuring processes, mainly at multinational companies, involving internal flexibility measures as modification of working conditions, and collective layoffs, voluntary redundancies and early-retirement processes.
- Formalization of labor aspects deriving from outsourcing procedures and negotiation processes associated with such transactions.
- Negotiation and structuring of pension programs both on collective basis and individual schemes
Misi is a regular speaker at seminars, symposiums and specialist courses on employment law.
Member of the Barcelona Bar Association. Active member of the Spanish Forum for Labor Lawyers (FORELAB) since its creation and member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (ELLA) since 1998.
Misi is also active within the pro-bono program at Garrigues and collaborates as an external advisor on employment matters at several NGO.
