Markus Gómez is a senior associate in the Transport & Shipping industry group and the Litigation and Arbitration practice area. He is a member of the firm’s German Desk.
He specializes in shipping and transport law and has extensive expertise in litigation and arbitration in both international and national disputes, particularly in the areas of marine insurance, transport, construction and international trade. Being a native German speaker, he is a member of the firm’s German Desk and maintains regular contact with the firm’s German-speaking clients.
He also provides recurring advice on procedural and corporate/commercial matters related to shipping and transport law, litigation and ADR, including advice on disputes regarding supply and agency contracts, international sale and purchase transactions, charter parties, INCOTERMS and logistics.
He has lectured in shipping law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues for the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) and on the Master’s Degree course for access to the legal profession at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas.
Markus Gómez is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the German Maritime Arbitration Association (GMAA) and the Andalusian Maritime and Marine Cluster (CMAA).
