María Cózar is a senior associate in the Transport & Shipping industry group and the Litigation and Arbitration practice area.
She specializes in yachting, shipping, port law and transport law. She has extensive experience in providing comprehensive advice to clients on all aspects of the yachting industry, particularly on sale and purchase, construction, financing, registration and importation, safety, crew management and the chartering of large yachts. She also specializes in advising shipping companies (regular lines, compliance, reflagging, mortgages, sale and purchase, and construction) and the port industry (e.g. civil liability claims, regulatory and facility tenders, and abandonment of ships). Her expertise also covers shipping litigation.
She has lectured in shipping law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues for the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA).
