Manuel Cassiano Neves is a senior associate in the Public Law, Environment and Energy Department of Garrigues Portugal.
Manuel has extensive experience in the energy law sector, especially focusing on electricity and natural gas markets, acting for important players of those sectors for almost a decade, for example in regulatory matters and performance of public service concessions and energy supply agreements.
He has also vast experience on (i) public tender procedures, acting for the bidders or for the contract awarding entities, namely in the energy and healthcare sectors; (ii) infrastructures construction, operation and maintenance, namely LNG terminal, caverns for natural gas underground storage, wind, photovoltaic and micro and mini generation power plants; (iii) performance of due diligences of environmental compliance and the licensing of activities and infrastructures.
Manuel also advises clients in litigations in the administrative courts, in particular in public procurement matters.
Manuel is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since august 2009.
