Maite Otamendi Iruin is principal associate in Tax Department since 2026.

She has extensive experience in the provision of advisory services on an ongoing basis to local and international companies and individuals in all areas of tax law under both the regional legislation for Basque Country and Navarra and the State legislation.

She also regularly advises on business reorganization transactions and on tax proceedings, during the inspection phase and during economic-administrative and judicial review proceedings.

Maite has a double degree in Law and Business Administration from the University of Deusto.

Maite joined Garrigues in 2015. Since 2026, she is principal associate.

She is a specialist in tax law, having extensive experience in the provision of advisory services on an ongoing basis to local and international companies and individuals in all areas of tax law under both the regional legislation for Basque Country and Navarra and the State legislation.

She also regularly advises on business reorganization transactions and on tax proceedings, during the inspection phase and during economic-administrative and judicial review proceedings.

Maite is fluent in Spanish, English and Basque, languages in which she renders services on a daily basis.

Maite is a member of the Gipuzkoa Bar Association.
