Maite Aizpiri Etxeberria is a principal associate in the Corporate and Commercial Law practice area.

She specialises in commercial law and, in particular, in advising on corporate restructuring operations, mergers and acquisitions (*M&amp;A*), joint ventures and national and international commercial contracts.

She has participated in numerous transactions involving the sale and purchase of businesses and corporate reorganisations of commercial entities, and provides recurring advice to business groups on corporate matters (board secretarial services, reports and legal opinions on corporate matters, advice to family businesses, etc.).

She is included in the *Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch* directory, in the *Corporate and M&amp;A Law* category.

She holds a degree in Economic Law from Deusto University (Bilbao), a master's degree in legal practice from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a master's degree in legal business practice from the Garrigues Study Centre.

With previous professional experience in various law firms, Maite joined Garrigues in 2020.

Since joining Garrigues, she has mainly focused on the following areas:

- National and international commercial contracts.
- Advising on Due Diligence processes, M&amp;A transactions and Joint Ventures.
- Board secretarial services and advice on corporate and contract law for national and multinational companies.
- Advising family businesses on corporate reorganisation and generational change.

Maite is fluent in Spanish, English and Basque, and is a member of the Gipuzkoa Bar Association.
