She has twelve years’ experience advising companies on contractual, corporate law, capital market, project finance and M&A matters. Her practice focuses on corporate governance and regulatory compliance applicable to inspected companies, as well as the preparation and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. She has advised clients from a wide range of industries, including renewable energy generation and investment funds. She is fluent in Spanish and English. ### Josefina’s practice focuses on advising clients on commercial, civil and corporate law matters, including the preparation and review of all kinds of acts and contracts. She leads and coordinates large transactions, due diligence processes, M&A and project finance deals, both domestic and international, along with providing general corporate advice on capital markets transactions. She provides ongoing advice to corporate groups with interests in regulated companies, assisting their boards of directors, revising their corporate governance and ensuring compliance with their obligations before the Financial Market Commission. She has led corporate structure optimization processes, 144A bond issues in the United States (2017 and 2021) and Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings under New York State law (2023), as well as significant transactions in the renewable energy sector. Before joining Garrigues, Josefina was a senior associate at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil (2021–2026), where she joined as an associate (2016–2021). Previously she had worked as a lawyer at EY Consulting Limitada (2014–2016).
