
José represents various national and international companies in different sectors, including banking, automotive, communications, chemical, pharmaceutical, motor transport, restaurant, parcel deliveries and household appliances, among others.
José has over 10 years’ experience in labor and social security litigation, working on high level collective and individual cases. He also consults on labor and social security matters, as well as providing assistance in the transfer and termination of executive employees, labor aspects of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and privatization of companies.
Experience
José Octaviano is a senior associate in the Labor and Employment practice.
He has extensive experience providing assistance and advice on the transfer of employees and employer substitution at foreign companies in Mexico.
He has also participated in business opinions on an individual and collective basis, as well as taking part in the preparation of handbooks for employees, Codes of Conduct and Ethics and Internal Labor Regulations, adapting this type of projects to Mexican labor and social security legislation.
In addition, he has participated in complex negotiations due to the substantive review of collective bargaining agreements regulating the employment relations of national and multinational companies with their labor unions.
José Octaviano is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English fluently.
